Background and Experiences

Aster C. Chang is a dynamic Family Law Attorney with years of experience helping clients navigate the often treacherous waters of divorce. She takes pride playing the role of helping the parties negotiate settlement so that the family and its finance can be least damaged by the divorce process. However, when settlement is not feasible, she will not hesitate to wield her extensive litigation and trial experiences to her client’s advantage. Many of her cases resulted in favorable settlement or outcome after aggressive litigation.

Ms. Chang understands that while she has a duty to zealous advocate for her clients, she needs to maintain her objectivity at all time so that she can lead her client to the most favorable result. She will work tirelessly to discover hidden income or assets so that her clients receive his or her fair share.

Therefore, she will always try her best to minimize the damage by working with her client and the opposing party to accomplish a parenting plan that works best for the children. However, when amicable resolution is not possible, Ms. Chang has ample experiences dealing with and prevailing over high conflict custody disputes.

Ms. Chang also draft Premarital Agreement and Marital Agreement so that the parties can put the financial issues aside and focus on their marital relationship. Ms. Chang often reminds her clients that the existence of these agreements is immaterial as long as the marriage lasts. However, in the unfortunate event that the marriage does not last, the existence of these agreements can substantially reduce, if not eliminate, the time and expenses of a protracted divorce litigation.
